The Lion King

Yesterday me and my host family went to Providence, Rhode Island to see the Lion King Broadway musical. It was a great experience at the Providence Performing Arts Center.
It was not just a great and funny show but an awsome looking place. I really liked the show, it was quite similar to the Disney movie with seriousness, jokes and popreferences (Probably casue the show was an adaption of the Disney movie).

The following might contain spoilers!

It followed the regular plot following Simba going from a kid in almost all of the first act, to the second act showed him as grown up. They had some really cool costumes for the different animals. My favorite part was definently the part where Simba meets Timon and Pumbaa, that also includes their song Hakuna Mata. My favorite popreference was definently the scene where Zazu is trapped by Scar and sings for him and Scar tells Zazu to lighten up. Zazu then chooses to instead sing Let it go from the recent Disney movie Frozen. Where Scar tells him to sing anything but that song. Pretty funny considering how widespread and worn out the song got. Especially for parents and people working with kids.

In conclusion I would just recommend to go see it if possible. Enough for now will try and get some more posts out soon
